Sewing Machine Upgrade

Something exciting happened! We had a donor from CT provide funds for two industrial machines and a UPS ( an uninterruptible power supply because electricity is often down and out in PK)! We are back home in Toronto, the husband and I, and are loving this new Aasra model of facilitating this relationship between you, the customers, and these talented ladies from these wonderful small grassroots organizations, Darakhshan from Pakistan...

Hello! Thanks for dropping' in! If I sound a bit excited, it's because I am! And equal parts nervous. So here we are! Aasra's soft launch.  Bear with us, okay? We are just getting started and I know we have quite some ways to go. The hunt for role models to showcase the items is underway. Fashion designing and production is also underway. You tell us what you like and what you don't, and we'll get better with time, slowly, maybe very slowly, but surely! We have set a pretty high ethical production mandate for ourselves. In addition to being fair trade and vegan, we aim to source sustainably and do everything else involved in ensuring we respect humans, animals, and...
