''Life, to me, is about learning, creating and sharing, and I believe we are at our happiest when we prioritise these.''

For seven weeks in Winter 2015-2016, Eliza went to volunteer at the refugee camp on the island of Leros, Greece, working alongside many other volunteers to provide practical and emotional support to those seeking safety on Europe's shores.

''My time volunteering on Leros was an incredibly rewarding experience that reminded me, again and again, of the things which are truly important in life.

One of the most generous ways in which we can give is to help enable others to have access to personal fulfillment and empowerment. Aasra aims to provide exactly this for woman in Pakistan who are often overlooked by society. ''

Eliza, 28, is from the UK and currently lives in Paris, teaching English as a foreign language to adults and children. She enjoys languages, travel, reading, arts and crafts, working with people and the freedom to take time for herself, her friends and family and her own projects, so feels very lucky to have a job which allows for all this.
